Lead Process Engineer

Lead Process Engineer is a full-time, on-site role, responsible for leading process design activities, including developing process flow diagrams, P&IDs, sizing of equipment, and defining process conditions for projects in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Mining, and Power Plants. Lead Process Engineer will oversee process simulations, process control philosophies, and optimization studies to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards and client specifications.

Day-to-day tasks include coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering teams, reviewing vendor documents, preparing technical reports, and supporting project management with estimates and schedules. The role also involves mentoring junior engineers, participating in HAZOP and other safety reviews, and providing technical support during construction, commissioning, and start-up.

Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, a related engineering discipline, or a relevant science field.

Minimum 12 years of engineering experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Mining, or Power Plants, with prior leadership or lead engineer responsibilities preferred.

Strong Process and Chemical Engineering competency, encompassing process documentation, equipment sizing, and working knowledge of applicable codes and standards — applied within EPC or industrial project environments.

Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., HYSYS, Aspen Plus, or equivalent) and standard engineering tools within the technical domain.

Solid understanding of Process Control principles, including control strategies, instrumentation requirements, and integration with automation systems.

Knowledge of safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements, with hands‑on experience in HAZOP, risk assessments, and design for safe operation.

Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret data, perform engineering calculations, and develop practical technical solutions.

Effective communication and coordination skills, with the ability to guide teams, collaborate across disciplines, and engage with clients and stakeholders.

Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet project deadlines, and adapt to evolving requirements in a dynamic, on‑site engineering environment.
