Senior Structural Designer (S3D) – Offshore

1-year fixed term contract

We’re supporting a leading global engineering organisation in the search for an experienced Senior Structural Designers to join their offshore engineering team.

This role offers the opportunity to work on large-scale offshore energy projects, taking ownership of structural modelling, design deliverables and multidisciplinary coordination throughout the project lifecycle.

As a Senior Structural Designer, you’ll play a key role in delivering high‑quality 3D structural models and engineering documentation while supporting engineering teams across complex offshore developments.

• Develop accurate and detailed 3D structural models for offshore projects.
• Produce high‑quality drawings and technical documentation to project schedules.
• Review and check design deliverables to ensure technical accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate with engineering and design disciplines throughout project execution.
• Support engineering teams by providing practical, efficient design solutions.
• Assist with material take‑offs and bill of quantity preparation.
• Supervise and mentor junior designers where required.
• Participate in client, supplier and internal technical meetings.
• Provide technical support during fabrication, construction and offshore installation activities when required.
• Contribute to tender submissions, resource planning and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Technical Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• 15+ years’ experience in offshore structural design and project execution.
• Extensive experience using Hexagon Smart 3D (S3D) for offshore structural modelling.

• Bills of Quantities (BOQ)
• Good working knowledge of offshore structural design standards and fabrication practices.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
