Electrical Engineer

Wave International is a resource development firm with 25+ years of global experience in engineering, project delivery, project and asset management and provides project strategies and solutions across battery minerals, mineral sands, gold, bulk dry commodities and more.

Wave is in the process of setting-up Electrical, Instrumentation & Control Systems Team in our South Jakarta office to support Wave International’s Australian and international mining and mineral processing project portfolio. This role is suited to all levels of Electrical, Instrumentation and Control Engineers and Designers who can contribute to front end engineering design, detail engineering design phases of delivery, technical documentation, multidisciplinary coordination and project support across complex resources projects.

In this role, you will be responsible for and have the following qualifications and/or skills:

Responsibilities:

• Deliver electrical, instrumentation and control engineering support for Australian and international mining and mineral processing projects.
• Design, develop and review HV and LV electrical systems for mining, mineral processing, infrastructure and industrial facilities.
• Produce and oversee the development of electrical design documentation, including single line diagrams (SLDs), schematics, termination drawings and detailed design packages.
• Undertake E&IC engineering calculations including load flow studies, fault level analysis, cable sizing, equipment sizing, Instrumentation sizing, Control system I/Os, earthing and lightning protection design.
• Prepare technical specifications, scopes of work and procurement documentation for E&IC equipment and systems.
• Coordinate design deliverables, schedules, resources and project requirements across multiple projects, disciplines and delivery teams.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, designers, drafters, clients and contractors.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and delivery of high-quality engineering solutions.

To be successful in this role, you will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering and have experience delivering electrical and instrumentation engineering work for mining and mineral processing projects, ideally within an engineering consulting environment. Experience supporting Australian or international project work will be highly regarded.
