Tax Researcher

About the role

Ideatax is seeking a Tax Researcher Staff member to join our dynamic team in South Jakarta. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in supporting our tax research and compliance operations. As a Tax Researcher Staff, you will be responsible for conducting thorough tax research, analysing tax regulations, and providing support to our senior tax professionals. This role is essential to ensuring that Ideatax maintains its reputation for delivering accurate, timely, and compliant tax solutions to our clients.

• Conducting comprehensive tax research on various tax matters, including income tax, corporate tax, and other applicable tax regulations
• Analysing tax legislation, rulings, and precedents to support tax planning and compliance recommendations
• Preparing detailed research memoranda and reports documenting findings and conclusions on tax issues
• Assisting in the preparation of tax compliance documentation and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements
• Collaborating with senior tax professionals to develop tax strategies and solutions for clients
• Maintaining and updating a repository of tax research materials, templates, and reference documents
• Monitoring changes in tax laws and regulations to identify impacts on client positions
• Supporting the development of tax training materials and internal knowledge resources
• Performing data analysis and verification of tax-related information for accuracy and completeness

• Bachelor's degree in taxation, accounting, law, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of Indonesian tax law and regulations
• Excellent research and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Proficiency in conducting legal and regulatory research using various resources and databases
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Indonesian and English
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and tax software systems
• Organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Professional certification in taxation (such as Brevet A or relevant qualifications) is preferred
• 1-3 years of experience in tax research or a related tax field is advantageous
