Public Affairs Government Relations Lead
Our client is looking for a dedicated and insightful Public Affairs Specialist to join their fully remote team. This role is essential for managing the company's engagement with government bodies, policymakers, and community stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory landscapes. You will be responsible for monitoring public policy developments, crafting advocacy messages, and building relationships with key influencers. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of public policy, excellent communication and analytical skills, and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments remotely, contributing to informed decision-making and positive external relations.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and analyze relevant government policies, legislation, and regulations.
- Develop and implement strategies for engaging with government officials and policymakers.
- Prepare position papers, policy briefs, and advocacy materials for stakeholders.
- Build and maintain relationships with key public affairs stakeholders and industry associations.
- Advise internal teams on public affairs implications of business strategies and market trends.
- Represent the company at relevant public forums, conferences, and stakeholder meetings.
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Law, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in public affairs, government relations, or policy analysis.
- Demonstrated understanding of legislative processes and government affairs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex policy issues clearly.
- Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to synthesize information effectively.
