About The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a driven, pro-active Geologist to join our APAC Team, in Jakarta, the largest and fastest-growing region of Micromine. In this role you will play a pivotal role in supporting geologists who use our various software solutions.

Reporting to the Product Specialist Team Lead – Geology, this role is responsible for driving the ongoing engagement of our customers using our Micromine Origin software solution. This role will proactively analyze usage data, and support users who could better utilize and drive value from their licenses with support, training and consulting.

• Analyze usage data and determine trends which indicate customers who need further support.
• Actively contact all Micromine customers who own licenses to check the licenses’ usage or if any issues occur.
• Provide technical support for users who have a current active Micromine licenses.
• Document all support issues in the company’s support management database.
• Escalate complex issues to other departments as required.
• Occasionally support the delivery of training courses online and face to face training.
• Ensure that enhancement requests, bugs, and development issues are raised with the product development team, reviewed, and closed when resolved.
• Provide technical support to other staff members for various promotional or product development projects as required.

About You

You will have a proven background in geology within mining company and are keen to transition into the software industry.

Other key skills, experience, and qualifications:

• A tertiary qualification in geology.
• Experience in exploration or mine geology or resources modeling environments.
• Strong technical skills in geology and familiarity with mining software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A passion for helping clients succeed through technology Ideally recent experience with Micromine software or general mining software (desirable).
