Role Overview We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to take full ownership of Kartini’s data ecosystem—covering architecture, pipelines, warehousing, governance, and business intelligence.

This role requires someone who can think end-to-end: from raw data ingestion to executive dashboards. You will play a critical role in structuring how data flows across systems, ensuring reliability at scale, and enabling real‑time, actionable insights through BI platforms such as Metabase, Tableau, and others.

• Data Architecture & Infrastructure:
  Design and manage scalable data warehouse / data lake architecture, define and enforce data schemas, standards, and naming conventions, optimize database structures, indexing, partitioning, and query performance, and architect multi-source data integration (Whats App, mobile apps, backend systems, APIs).
• Data Engineering & Pipelines:
  Build robust ETL/ELT pipelines for high-volume transactional data, enable real‑time / near real-time data processing, implement data validation, cleansing, and transformation frameworks, and manage batch and streaming data pipelines.
• Business Intelligence & Dashboards:
  Lead development of dashboards using Metabase, Tableau, or similar BI tools, design executive dashboards for operational, commercial, and financial insights, build self‑service data layers for internal teams and clients, and ensure data accessibility, performance, and usability across stakeholders.
• Data Governance & Quality:
  Establish strong data governance frameworks and access controls, ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across systems, implement monitoring, alerting, and logging for pipelines, and support audit readiness and data security compliance.

Support data structuring for fraud detection models (Receipt IR / Display IR) and enable analytics for promotion performance, consumer behavior, and retail execution across large-scale datasets in multi-country deployments.

• 5+ years experience in Data Engineering or similar role.
• Advanced SQL (complex joins, window functions, optimization).
• Strong experience with data warehouse design (Big Query, Redshift, Snowflake, or similar).
• Experience with ETL/ELT tools (Airflow, dbt, Fivetran, or custom pipelines).
• Hands‑on experience with Python (Pandas, PySpark) for data processing.
• Experience with Apache Spark or distributed data processing frameworks is a strong advantage.
• Cloud & Infrastructure experience working with AWS (S3, Redshift, Lambda, Glue) and/or GCP (Big Query, Dataflow).
• Understanding of containerization (Docker) and orchestration is a plus.
• Familiarity with event‑driven architecture (Kafka, Pub/Sub) is a plus.
• Proven experience building dashboards in Metabase, Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
• Strong understanding of data visualization, storytelling, and business metrics.
• Ability to translate business problems into structured analytical outputs.
• Strong understanding of data modeling (star schema, snowflake schema) and handling high-volume, high‑velocity data environments.
• Familiarity with API integrations and data ingestion strategies.
• Strong communication skills to bridge technical and business teams.

Strong ownership and ability to lead the entire data function; highly analytical, detail-oriented, and structured thinker; able to operate in a fast‑paced, scaling environment.

Immediately available candidates are highly preferred. Comfortable working full.

Work From Office (WFO) – South Jakarta;
Comfortable in a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) environment;
Willing to conduct occasional business trips especially to Bandung (Development Office);
Certain long working hours are required, compensated with replaceable day off.

Compensation:
Base salary starting from IDR 12,000,000/month (slightly negotiable based on experience) with performance‑based growth aligned with company scaling.
