The ASEAN Specialist team at AWS is hiring a Senior Data & Analytics Specialist Solutions Architect to serve as a technical leader and trusted advisor to our enterprise customers. You will bring deep expertise in data engineering, analytics, and modern data platforms, partnering with field sales teams on complex customer deals, owning senior executive relationships, representing AWS at industry events, and building mechanisms that accelerate data and analytics adoption across field teams, partners and customers.

• Partner with field sales teams to lead technical strategy on complex data and analytics deals from discovery through architecture design, proof of concept, and commitment.
• Build and own senior executive relationships (CDOs, CTOs, VPs of Data & Engineering) to position AWS as the platform of choice for enterprise data workloads.
• Represent AWS as a thought leader at industry conferences, customer summits, and executive forums – delivering keynotes, technical deep‑dives, and panel discussions on data strategy, lakehouse architectures, and analytics modernization.
• Develop accelerators, reference architectures and enablement content in the data and analytics domain that helps field sales teams, partners and customers adopt AWS data services faster and with confidence.
• Mentor and uplift specialist and generalist SAs – raising the technical bar and building a culture of knowledge sharing.
• Navigate competitive dynamics with incumbent data platforms and articulate AWS’s differentiated value for enterprise data workloads.
• Identify patterns across customer data engagements and codify them into repeatable plays that scale impact across the region.

• Lead technical strategy on complex enterprise data platform pursuits – mapping customer data landscape, understanding analytics goals, navigating competitive alternatives, designing modern data architecture on AWS.
• Engage with a customer’s Data leadership to influence their data modernization roadmap, articulate value of AWS analytics services, and agree on a proof‑of‑concept approach.
• Deliver a technical deep‑dive at a regional data conference to large audiences of data engineers and analytics leaders.
• Develop a reusable data accelerator that helps field teams and partners execute data platform migrations with repeatable patterns and reduced time‑to‑value.
• Run skills‑building workshops for the SA team on data engineering best practices, sharing lessons from recent customer wins.
• Collaborate with AWS data service teams to provide field feedback and influence roadmap priorities based on regional customer needs.
• Mentor junior SAs to sharpen architecture design and competitive positioning.

• 10+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics architecture, or data platform consulting, with at least 3 years in a customer‑facing solutions architecture or technical pre‑sales role.
• Deep understanding of modern data platforms including data lakes, data warehouses, streaming architectures, lakehouse patterns, and ETL/ELT frameworks.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex technical engagements with enterprise customers in the data and analytics domain.
• Experience building and sustaining executive‑level technical relationships (CDO, CTO, VP of Data/Engineering level).
• Strong presentation and public speaking skills, with a track record of representing a technology vendor at industry conferences or large customer events.
• Experience mentoring or coaching technical teams.
• Knowledge of architecting data and analytics solutions on AWS or other cloud platforms.
• Experience driving competitive platform migrations from incumbent data platforms to AWS.
• Track record of developing reusable technical assets (reference architectures, migration accelerators, workshops) that scale impact beyond individual engagements.
• Understanding of AI/ML technologies, including how generative AI complements data and analytics workloads.
• Experience in ASEAN markets with understanding of regional business dynamics, regulatory landscapes, and data sovereignty requirements.
