The Data Cruncher & Inventory Demand Forecaster is responsible for developing predictive inventory models, demand forecasting frameworks, and operational analytics that support the group's diverse business operations. The role focuses on transforming large volumes of operational, inventory, and supply chain data into actionable insights that improve inventory availability, reduce excess stock, optimize working capital utilization, and support business planning across multiple subsidiaries.
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with operations, procurement, warehouse, logistics, engineering, and management teams to identify trends, forecast material requirements, and strengthen supply chain performance. This position is ideal for analytical professionals who possess strong quantitative capabilities and enjoy applying data science, forecasting methodologies, and operational analytics to solve complex business challenges within asset‑intensive industries.
- Collect, validate, organize, and analyze large operational datasets from multiple business units, warehouses, and project sites.
- Develop and maintain demand forecasting models for critical inventory categories, including spare parts, consumables, operational materials, fuel allocations, and other strategic inventory items.
- Monitor inventory performance, consumption trends, supplier lead times, stock movements, and warehouse utilization metrics to improve planning accuracy.
- Calculate safety stock levels, reorder points, Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), and inventory optimization parameters to support business continuity and cost efficiency.
- Design dashboards, analytical reports, and performance tracking tools that provide visibility into inventory health, operational efficiency, and supply chain risks.
- Identify inventory inefficiencies, excess stock, obsolete materials, duplicate purchases, and working capital optimization opportunities through data analysis.
- Support procurement teams with forecasting insights, purchasing recommendations, and inventory planning strategies.
- Collaborate with warehouse, logistics, operations, engineering, and supply chain stakeholders to align inventory requirements with operational activities and project schedules.
- Support Material Requirements Planning (MRP) processes and ensure alignment between forecasted demand and procurement activities.
- Review and improve data quality, reporting accuracy, and information integrity within ERP systems and operational databases.
- Present analytical findings, inventory forecasts, and operational recommendations to management teams and executive stakeholders.
- Bachelor's Degree or above in Statistics, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Data Science, Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Business Analytics, or other quantitative disciplines.
