Supervise and coordinate all export and import shipments, ensuring timely and accurate documentation and processing
Manage customs clearance procedures and ensure compliance with international trade regulations and local governmental requirements
Liaise with shipping agents, freight forwarders, customs brokers and other logistics partners to facilitate smooth cargo movement
Monitor shipment status and provide regular updates to internal stakeholders and external clients
Prepare and verify export and import documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists and certificates of origin
Ensure accurate record-keeping and maintain comprehensive shipping and cargo databases
Identify and resolve shipping discrepancies, delays and other logistical challenges
Develop and maintain strong relationships with customs authorities, port authorities and freight service providers
Supervise junior staff members and provide guidance on export-import procedures and best practices
Optimise shipping routes and consolidate shipments to reduce costs whilst maintaining service quality
Ensure all shipments meet quality, safety and regulatory standards
QualificationsMinimum 3 years of experience in export-import operations or freight forwarding, with proven supervisory experience
Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures and documentation requirements
Familiarity with SAP is required.
Certified Customs Expert (Ahli Pabean) certification is preferred.
Strong understanding of Export, Import, Customs Regulations, Import Licensing (Steel Products, Skim Milk Powder, Beef, Surimi),
CEISA 4.0, and SIMODIS
.
Excellent understanding of Incoterms, bills of lading and international shipping practices
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word
Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple shipments simultaneously
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Indonesian (Indonesian language proficiency is essential)
Problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure
Knowledge of food industry logistics and cold chain management is highly desirable
Familiarity with Port of Jakarta operations and Indonesia's customs procedures is preferred
