The Senior Planning Specialist is responsible for managing Purchase Orders (POs), monitoring factory capacity, and closely tracking production status to ensure on-time delivery across assigned brands and suppliers. This role works closely with Sourcing, Purchasing, BU Planning, and factory teams to identify risks, resolve constraints, and drive strong delivery performance.
1. PO ManagementCoordinate with SPT and Purchasing teams for PO release and tracking.
Work closely with BU Planning and factory teams to ensure on-time PO delivery.
Monitor and evaluate supply chain performance, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency, lead time, and delivery reliability.
2. Capacity PlanningCollect and validate factory capacity after each buy order or forecast update.
Identify potential capacity constraints and work with factories to develop and implement solutions.
Ensure production capacity aligns with brand demand and sourcing plans.
3. Production & Schedule ControlTrack daily factory production schedules and PO WIP status.
Conduct routine meetings with factories to review production plans vs. actual output and identify delivery risks.
Proactively assess risks related to RTB, upper and bottom materials, and quality.
Define and confirm PO XF dates with factory teams and lead negotiations with BU and brands when adjustments are needed.
Identify bottlenecks and propose mitigation plans to protect on-time delivery.
4. Reporting & Data AnalysisAnalyze supply chain and production data to identify performance gaps and improvement opportunities.
Develop and implement data-driven solutions to enhance planning accuracy and execution.
Support the department in transitioning from traditional planning methods to a more digital and data-driven planning approach.
5. Other ResponsibilitiesSupport ad-hoc and routine planning tasks as assigned by management.
Continuously review and improve planning and supply chain processes to enhance responsiveness and efficiency.
RequirementsStrong data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze and interpret planning and supply chain data.
Good written and spoken English is required.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a planning role within the footwear industry
; experience from a brand side is a strong advantage.
Minimum Diploma (D3) degree or higher.
Willing to travel to factory locations as required.
