Overview

Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity through its Indonesia entity, PT AHK Testing Indonesia, for a Site Supervisor. PT AHK Testing Indonesia provides independent analysis and inspection services to the metals, minerals and solid fuels industries, with a reputation for knowledge and professionalism in weighing, sampling and analysis. The Site Supervisor oversees daily laboratory operations, ensuring all analytical tasks for nickel matte and raw materials are completed with high accuracy.

This role acts as a bridge between the Site Manager and the laboratory, preparation and sampling staff, ensuring all processes are conducted in strict compliance with ISO 17025, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 standards. The Site Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the laboratory team, ensuring all analytical tasks for nickel matte and raw materials are completed with high accuracy. Acts as a liaison between the Site Manager, laboratory staff, preparation and sampling teams to ensure processes comply with ISO 17025, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 standards.

• Expertise in laboratory techniques and equipment, including IRS, Calorimeter, and Ultimate Analyzer.
• Ability to plan and implement laboratory method development and validation work.
• Knowledgeable in implementing and maintaining quality control procedures and ensuring compliance with ISO standards (ISO 17025, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001).
• Strong organizational abilities to manage laboratory workflows, schedules, and resources effectively.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with staff, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Strong troubleshooting and general problem-solving abilities.

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Laboratory Supervisor and/or 5 years as a Laboratory Analyst/Chemist.
• Proven experience in managing laboratory operations, including equipment maintenance and quality control.

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Fluency in Mandarin (both oral and written) is essential for supervising staff and coordinating operations.
• Willingness to be placed in Indonesia Morowali Industrial Park (IMIP), Central Sulawesi.
