ABOUT OUCRU INDONESIA
The Oxford University Clinical Research Unit in Indonesia (OUCRU ; formerly EOCRU) operates in partnership with the Faculty of Medicine Universitas Indonesia. OUCRU part of the Major International Programme Vietnam sponsored by the Wellcome and governed by the Centre for Tropical Medicine and Global Health at the Nuffield Department of Medicine, University of Oxford, United Kingdom. OUCRU in Indonesia and Vietnam, along with their many local and international partners, conduct biomedical, clinical, and epidemiological research on infections impacting the health of people living in Southeast Asia and beyond.
JOBSUMMARY
Translational research at OUCRU mandates a strategic, multi‑disciplinary approach that supports a tailored developmental pathway from a discovery or concept to the generation of new therapies, devices and diagnostics. It also mandates a fair and equitable pathway that ensures the contributions made by our low‑and‑middle‑income country (LMIC) partners are recognized and rewarded, and the research outputs are directed towards their application in LMICs.
KEYTASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- 1. Funding administration and project portfolio support
- Support the administration of internal seed grants, especially for OUCRU Indonesia researchers and collaborators.
- Identify translational research opportunities within the OUCRU Indonesia research portfolio and support internal application submissions.
- Coordinate with the finance team for funded awardees to monitor budgets, and support project owners to ensure projects deliver against key milestones.
- 2. Training coordination
- Support the logistics to organize training courses and events.
- Serve as the primary contact link between OUCRU Indonesia researchers and external experts on relevant training activities.
- 3. Communications, reporting and stakeholder support
- Prepare materials for internal communications (e.g., newsletters, notifications).
- Collect data for translational research program metrics at OUCRU Indonesia.
- Act as a point of contact for queries from OUCRU Indonesia to Oxford University Innovation (OUI) regarding intellectual property.
- Build connections with local industry partners and relevant stakeholders to advance public health initiatives.
- 4. Other tasks
- Support and coordinate Translational Advisory Board (TAB) meetings.
- Perform other duties as appropriate.
- A degree in a relevant scientific or healthcare field.
- Self‑directed and demonstrable project management or administrative experience managing many parallel projects.
- A team‑player with strong communication skills, conflict management and ability to build excellent working relationships.
- An understanding of research translation pathways and innovation processes in biomedical and healthcare sectors.
- Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
- A Master’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.
- Experience of working with senior researchers and decision‑makers from academia, government or the commercial healthcare sector.
- Experience of supporting or developing translational research projects in an academic, funder or commercial setting.
- Experience in technology transfer, innovation, licensing, or entrepreneurial activity.
- Remuneration package that includes annual leave, sick leave, THR, optional private medical cover, BPJS Kesehatan, BPJS Ketenagakerjaan.
- Other responsibilities and benefits are based on Indonesia Labor Law.

HOURS OF WORK40 hours per week; extra hours may be required.
