Do you have a nose for detail and a passion for creating captivating scents? We’re looking for a Fragrance Evaluator to join our team and bring their expertise to the world of personal care and skincare innovation!
What You’ll Do:- Conduct sensory evaluations of fragrance samples in various product forms.
- Analyze fragrance compositions to ensure product quality and alignment with brand identity.
- Work closely with product development and fragrance houses to create or modify fragrances that align with product goals, brand identity, and consumer preferences.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to refine and enhance fragrance profiles.
- Evaluate the stability of fragrance over time, ensuring consistency across different formulations (e.g., varying pH levels, temperatures, and storage conditions).
- Conduct sensory testing and consumer panel evaluations to gather insights and refine scents.
- Participate in consumer testing and sensory panels to gauge consumer preferences and feedback on fragrance profiles.
- Translate consumer insights into actionable recommendations for fragrance development.
- Ensure the consistency and quality of fragrances by comparing test batches with approved samples.
- Perform routine checks to confirm that all fragrances meet established specifications.
- Stay updated on fragrance trends in the personal care industry, including shifts in consumer preferences and emerging scent innovations.
- Provide insights to guide the creative development of new fragrances.
- Maintain accurate records of fragrance evaluations, including sensory analysis reports and improvement recommendations.
- Document all testing processes and outcomes for future reference.
- Provide sensory training to new team members, sharing expertise on the evaluation process, proper testing methods, and fragrance terminology.
- University Degree or equivalent, with a Science or Chemical background.
- At least 3-4 years of experience in the sensory industry/fragrance house/FMCG with personal .. product
- Strong olfactory skills, analytical abilities, creativity, and communication skills.
- Good verbal and written command of English.
- Proficiency in using common PC applications and the ability to learn new IT systems quickly.
- Clear and concise communication skills.
- Ability to work well and interact with cross-functional teams.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, with good time management skills.
- A self-starter who can handle projects and has a drive to win and achieve results.
- Creative and innovative mindset – able to think “out of the box.”
- Flexible and adaptable to changes quickly.
