Senior Durable Solutions Assistant
Reporting to a Durable Solutions Associate or Officer, the Senior Durable Solutions Assistant supports the implementation of UNHCR’s durable solutions strategy, including resettlement, voluntary repatriation, local integration and the rationalisation of durable solutions for refugees and Persons of Concern.
Key Responsibilities- Provide counselling to refugees and other Persons of Concern (POC) regarding durable solution options.
- Interview candidates for voluntary repatriation and prepare documentation for return, following the Voluntary Repatriation SOPs.
- Interview candidates for local integration and prepare appropriate documentation for submission to local authorities or partners.
- Participate in identifying resettlement needs of refugees, in line with Resettlement SOPs.
- Update the electronic database for resettlement, voluntary repatriation and local integration.
- Process documentation to ensure timely delivery of required documents to POC.
- Prepare statistical and ad‑hoc reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Advise on appropriate durable solutions for POC.
- Enter information into the database, following SOPs.
- Support risk management by identifying and reporting risks, issues and concerns to supervisors or relevant colleagues.
- Carry out other related duties as required.
- Education:
High School Diploma with at least 2 years relevant experience; or Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with at least 1 year relevant experience. - Certificates: HCR Protection Induction Programme (essential).

Skills:
Database Management (essential);
Microsoft Office Productivity Software (essential). - Experience:
Interviewing (essential).
- Diverse field experience.
- Additional language skills beyond English and the mandatory working language of the duty station.
