IT Platform Engineer

We are looking for an experienced IT Platform Engineer who will act as a technical bridge between Product and Engineering teams.

This role focuses on technical analysis, requirement translation, project estimation, and preparing technical requirements for the Development/Engineering team before the development process begins.

Analyze Product Requirement Documents (PRD) and translate business/product requirements into clear Technical Requirement Documents (TRD).

Conduct technical analysis and feasibility assessment for new projects and product initiatives.

Define technical requirements, dependencies, system needs, and potential technical constraints before development starts.

Break down project requirements into user stories, technical tasks, and actionable engineering items
.

Estimate development effort, including story points, resource requirements, and project timelines
.

Determine the required engineering resources based on project scope and technical complexity.

Work closely with Product, Lead Developers, Senior Engineers, and other stakeholders to define the appropriate technical approach.

Prepare the technical foundation and requirements so Developers/Engineers can start development effectively.

Support Developers/Engineers in resolving technical blockers, requirement clarification, and implementation challenges.

Identify potential technical risks and provide recommendations or alternative solutions.

Ensure technical requirements are aligned with product objectives, development capacity, and project timelines.

Participate in technical discussions, project planning, and engineering review sessions.

Minimum 4 years of experience in Software Engineering, Technical Analysis, Solution Engineering, Platform Engineering, or a related technical role.

Strong understanding of software development processes and engineering practices.

Strong experience in translating Product/Business Requirements into Technical Requirements
.

Experience creating or reviewing Technical Requirement Documents (TRD), technical specifications, or similar documentation
.

Strong understanding of user story breakdown, story points, effort estimation, and project planning
.

Experience assessing technical feasibility, dependencies, risks, and resource requirements.

Able to communicate and collaborate effectively with Product Managers, Lead Developers, Senior Developers, and Engineering teams
.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.

Good understanding of software architecture, APIs, databases, and application development concepts.

Hands-on development experience is preferred
, but this role is not focused on full-time coding.

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments is preferred.

Strong communication and documentation skills.
