Job Description
The Inventory Controller reports to the Operation Lead and is supported by an Inventory‑Outbound Assistant. The role is responsible for managing and controlling frozen chicken stock across three warehouse units (1 internal cold storage facility and 2 external/leased warehouses) to ensure stock accuracy, system alignment, and compliance with quality and traceability standards.
Main Responsibilities1. Inventory Management – Internal Warehouse
Manage all inventory activities using a web‑based Warehouse Management System (WMS).
Ensure FIFO/LIFO implementation according to frozen product characteristics.
Supervise processes (with support from Inventory‑Outbound Assistant):
- Inbound (goods receipt)
- Outbound (goods release)
- Put‑away & picking
Control and validate daily tally sheets.
Conduct periodic stock opname (weekly/monthly).
Reconcile physical stock vs. system data and follow up discrepancies (adjustment approval).
Coordinate with Operation Lead to ensure QC stock checks (packaging condition, temperature, expiry date).
Control batch accuracy, lot number (pallet ), and expiry dates.
Prepare inventory reports (stock aging, slow‑moving items, discrepancies).
2. Monitoring External Warehouses (2 Leased Units)Monitor and control stock remotely (no direct operational handling).
Coordinate with external warehouse partners (with support from Inventory‑Outbound Assistant) regarding:
- Inbound & outbound data
- Stock mutation
- Joint stock opname
Ensure external warehouse reports align with internal WMS data.
Analyze discrepancies and follow up inconsistencies.
Act as liaison between internal company and external warehouse partners.
3. System & ReportingOperate and optimize use of WMS.
Maintain real‑time inventory data accuracy.
Prepare routine reports:
- Daily stock report
- Stock aging report
- Discrepancy report
- Warehouse capacity utilization report
Provide process improvement insights for inventory and system efficiency.
4. Compliance & StandardsEnsure inventory activities comply with SOP, cold storage standards, and food safety regulations.
Maintain proper documentation and inventory administration.
Minimize risks of shrinkage, damage, and expired stock.
Qualifications- Strong integrity and honesty.
- Minimum Diploma (D3) or Bachelors degree (Logistics, Management, or related field).
- Minimum 7 years experience as Inventory Controller / Inventory Supervisor in large warehouse, preferably cold storage.
- Experience handling frozen products (frozen chicken is a strong advantage).
- Experienced in web‑based WMS systems.
- Strong understanding of FIFO, LIFO, FEFO, stock opname, tally sheets, inbound & outbound processes.
- Experience working with external warehouses / 3PL.
- Detail‑oriented, firm, analytical, and strong coordination skills.
- Preferably domiciled in Jabodetabek.
