Sampling Merchandiser

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coordinate with designers and production teams to develop accurate garment samples based on design specifications.
Manage the end-to-end sampling process, including proto samples, fit samples, size sets, and pre-production samples.
Source and coordinate with vendors for fabrics, trims, and accessories required for sample development.
Ensure samples are developed within the required timelines while maintaining quality and design accuracy.
Work closely with factories to communicate construction details, measurements, and technical requirements.
Review and inspect samples to ensure correct fit, finish, construction, and overall quality standards.
Maintain proper documentation of sample approvals, revisions, fabrics, trims, and technical comments.
Coordinate internally with merchandising, design, and production teams to ensure smooth transition from sampling to bulk production.
Stay updated with fabric developments, garment construction techniques, and industry trends.
Willing to travel between office and factory when required to monitor sampling progress and quality checks.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Fashion, Textile, Apparel Production, or related fields.
Strong knowledge of fabrics, textiles, trims, garment construction, and sampling techniques.
Proven experience in handling garment sampling processes in the apparel industry.
Confident communication and strong coordination skills with vendors and production teams.
Ability to manage multiple samples and deadlines simultaneously.
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on product quality and finishing.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and garment sampling documentation.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced production environment.
