Slickline Supervisor

Qualifications

• 5-10 years overall experience in Slickline/Wireline operations
• Extensive hands‑on experience with mechanical well interventions, memory logging, and fishing operations
• Valid BNSP certification for Gas Tester Operator
• Valid Well Control Certification (IWCF or IADC) at supervisor level

• Direct the safe rig-up, pressure testing, operation, and rig-down of the slickline unit, power pack, and all Pressure Control Equipment (PCE), including lubricators, stuffing boxes, and Blowout Prev enters (BOPs).
• Supervise and execute complex downhole operations, such as setting/pulling blanking plugs, gas lift valves, and subsurface safety valves (SSSV).
• Calculate wire tensions, monitor weight indicators, and manage jarring operations during routine and heavy‑duty mechanical interventions.
• Plan and execute downhole fishing operations to retrieve lost or stuck tools, ensuring minimal well downtime.
• Verify that all wireline units, downhole tools, and measuring instruments are properly maintained and hold valid inspection and calibration certificates prior to the job.
• Maintain precise depth control and accurate tool string tally records.
• Draft and submit comprehensive field documentation, including Daily Progress Reports (DPR), tool diagrams, run tickets, and final well intervention reports.
• Enforce strict compliance with the Permit to Work (PTW) system and lead daily safety meetings, including Toolbox Talks (TBT) and Job Safety Analyses (JSA) specific to pressure and wireline hazards.
• Ensure the integrity of the wellbore is maintained at all times by verifying that all PCE is appropriately pressure‑tested according to API standards before opening the well.
• Act as the primary interface between the service company and the client representative (Company Man) regarding operational progress, tool selection, and downhole challenges.
• Coordinate logistics for equipment mobilization and demobilization from the wellsite.
