Job Title: Construction Estimator – Business Operations
Location: Remote (LATAM-based candidates welcome)
Job Type: Full-time / Contractor
About the RoleWe’re looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to support our operations team with accurate and competitive estimates for residential, retail, and commercial construction projects in the U.S., with a focus on New York and New Jersey
.
This is a remote role for candidates based in LATAM who have a strong understanding of U.S. construction standards, pricing, and workflows.
Responsibilities- Prepare detailed and well-documented cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services
- Conduct quantity takeoffs and review architectural and engineering plans
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and vendors to gather pricing and clarify scope
- Analyze historical data and market trends to support cost evaluations and risk assessments
- Ensure all estimates comply with U.S. codes, union labor practices, and NY/NJ regulations
- Support proposal development and participate in value engineering processes
- 5+ years of overall experience in construction estimating or preconstruction roles
- At least 2 years of hands‑on experience estimating construction projects in the U.S.
- Strong background in residential, retail, and commercial construction
- Familiarity with projects in New York and New Jersey is highly preferred
- Proficiency in tools like Plan Swift, Bluebeam, Procore, RSMeans, or similar
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and time management
- Comfortable working independently in a remote and fast-paced environment
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field
- Experience with union labor costing and permitting processes in NY/NJ
- Prior work with U.S.
-based general contractors, developers, or estimating teams
