Applications must be submitted by January 30th, 2026 using only the application form. The application should contain a CV, a research statement (and organisational), a list of publications, and a proposal of the branch and people with whom the candidate would like to collaborate. By the same date, two letters of recommendation should be sent by e‑mail to konkurs. In the subject of the e‑mail, indicate please "Open call for temporary research position in applied mathematics" and the full name of the candidate.

The offer includes positions of assistant professor, IM PAS professor and full professor for periods from 2 to 3 years, starting from the beginning of the academic year 2026/2027. It is intended for mathematicians with a PhD degree or equivalent and substantial research achievements in the field of mathematics, with particular emphasis on one of the following specialisations:

• Machine learning (including machine‑assisted theorem proving)
• Numerical analysis
• Statistics
• Probability

The successful candidates will be required to conduct intensive research activities in collaboration with IM PAS researchers in the field of applied mathematics and to participate in projects carried out with external partners, including industrial and business partners. Didactic and organisational activities are also expected, such as organising conferences and seminars, supervising doctoral students, and conducting monographic lectures or seminars.
