The competition is open to each candidate who meets the requirements set out in the Higher Education and Science Act of July 20th 2018 (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1668 as amended) and the Statute of University of Wroclaw.
Requirements
- The candidate must hold a doctoral degree and demonstrate outstanding scientific achievements, including publications in journals listed in the JCR and presentations at scientific conferences.
- Preference will be given to candidates with international research experience. The research profile should be related to computer physics and computational modelling.
- The candidate should be qualified to teach courses in Polish at the Faculty of Physics and Astronomy, particularly in physics – and computer science – related subjects.
- The candidate should have experience in teaching courses.
- A foreign candidate must demonstrate verified proficiency in the Polish language, both spoken and written, at a level sufficient to conduct teaching activities (confirmed by a certificate or a qualification interview).
Responsibilities
In the research area:
- Conducting scientific research in the field of computer physics and computational modelling.
- Active participation in seminars and scientific meetings organized by the Department of Applied Computer Science and Statistical Physics, as well as the Institute of Theoretical Physics.
- Preparation of scientific publications.
- Applying for research funding and participating in national and international scientific conferences.
In the teaching area:
- Conducting teaching activities, including courses taught in Polish.
- Supervising bachelor's and master’s theses.
In the organizational area:
- Supporting the activities of the Institute of Theoretical Physics, particularly in student recruitment and promoting the Institute’s visibility.
- Developing and maintaining national and international collaborations.

- Declaration of the discipline in which the candidate will conduct research and in the case of people conducting research in more than one discipline the percentage of their involvement in each of these disciplines (download Declaration of scientific discipline ).
- Self-presentation (information about scientific, organizational, and other achievements).
- List scientific publications in the last ten years.
- Electronic versions of the two most important publications that the candidate considers representative of his or her scientific achievements or an explanation of the lack of them.
