Offer Description

Assist Professor among the research and teaching staff at the Department of Particle Interactions and Detection. Responsibilities include preparation and analysis of simulation data, design of high‑spatial‑granularity medical phantoms, and participation in therapy‑photon‑beam experiments.

23 months full‑time employment starting in April 2026.

Requirements
  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Physical Sciences or Applied Physics.
  • Aptitude for research and teaching.
  • Confirmed active participation in student scientific activities or documented scientific achievements during university studies, doctoral school, or professional work.
  • Knowledge of analysis of experimental data from photon‑therapy devices and advanced simulation with the Geant4 environment.
  • Readiness to conduct classes on basics of computer science and physical simulations in Polish and English.
  • English language proficiency B2 level or higher.
  • Polish language proficiency C1 level if not native.
  • Experience working in research teams.
  • Experience in laboratory work and execution of therapeutic‑beam experiments.
  • Knowledge of ionizing‑radiation interaction with scintilla tors.
  • A doctorate in Physical Sciences or a submitted dissertation in the same discipline.
  • Years of research experience: 1–4.

  • Declaration of Polish language C1 level if not native.
  • Copies of diplomas and other certificates confirming qualifications.
  • Declaration of scientific achievements or evidence of active participation in student scientific activities.

Recruitment procedure
