Job Title:

Hydrographic Specialist

Contract Duration: 12 Months

Location - Poland - Gdansk or Leba

Role Objective

You will join a Geoscience Construction Management team, working closely with colleagues to oversee survey operations, analyse geospatial data, and collaborate with installation managers throughout construction activities. The team values accuracy, collaboration, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide hydrographic survey expertise in accordance with Polish legislative requirements
  • Review, accept, and manage installation contractor procedures related to survey and geoscience activities
  • Review, accept, distribute, and manage progress and final as-built survey datasets
  • Procure and manage data acquired by an internal survey support service, including bathymetric and sub-bottom surveys
  • Provide expert input on ground conditions to support installation works
  • Review project documentation, method statements, reports, and positioning requirements related to subsea and sub-seabed installations
  • Manage QA/QC processes for pre-, during-, and post-installation surveys
  • Interface across installation packages as construction activities progress
  • Own residual risk management related to UXO during construction
  • Deliver selected handover reports from Construction into the Operations & Maintenance phase
Working Arrangement
  • Office-based role in Łeba or Gdańsk, with occasional offshore vessel visits
  • 5-day working week, 8 hours per day, with flexibility for additional hours as project demands
Requirements
  • Hold a Polish Hydrographic Category A Surveyor's licence
  • Have experience in hydrographic surveys and offshore construction works
  • Demonstrate a proactive, structured approach and experience interfacing with design, engineering, and installation teams
  • Thrive in an international environment and build strong stakeholder relationships
  • Be bilingual in Polish and English
  • Hold GWO Basic Offshore Safety certificates
