As a Firefighter, you will play a direct role in protecting personnel, facilities, and resources while working in a challenging, fast‑paced environment. This position offers the opportunity to apply your skills in firefighting, emergency medical response, and hazardous operations in support of U.S. national security interests abroad.

- Serve as a firefighter assigned to a crew engaged in emergency response and fire prevention activities.
- Drive and operate firefighting vehicles of significant complexity when assigned.
- Perform Basic Life Support, following established medical protocols.
- Conduct patient assessment and physical examination.
- Maintain airway, breathing, and circulation.
- Perform CPR and AED use, control external bleeding, and treat for shock.
- Assist patients with emergency medications as directed.
- Stabilize patients for transport and assist paramedic staff.
- Document patient care and maintain emergency equipment and supplies.
- Drive and operate specialized firefighting vehicles, determining proper positioning, water sources, pressures, and equipment use during fire response.
- Perform structural firefighting duties across a variety of facilities, including pre‑fire planning, operating hoses, ladders, hydrants, and participating in training and exercises.
- Maintain firefighting equipment and station facilities, conducting inspections, preventive maintenance, and housekeeping duties.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards, promoting a safe work environment at all times.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
IFSAC/PROBOARD certifications:
Fire Fighter I and II, Haz Mat Operations, Driver/Operator.
NIMS 100, 200, 700, and 800 certifications.
Current National Registry Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification.
Current CPR certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
Emergency Vehicle Operator’s Certification (to be obtained after arrival).
Ability to pass all employment and deployment qualification requirements, including psychological, medical, dental, drug testing, and background checks.
Hazardous Materials Awareness/Operations.
FEMA IC 100, 200, 700, 800.
Desired QualificationsPrior experience in international or contingency firefighting operations.
Demonstrated ability to train and mentor junior firefighters.
