ISMIRA Agency actively recruiting for position BAR MANAGER for Scylla AG!

As Bar Manager
, you are the driving force behind the bar experience onboard. You lead your team to deliver exceptional beverage service while maintaining high operational standards. Beyond managing daily bar operations, you mentor staff, ensure inventory accuracy, support guest satisfaction, and contribute to a seamless onboard experience. Your leadership ensures that every guest interaction at the bar is professional, welcoming, and memorable.

Duties and responsibilities:
  • Professional and friendly guest service according to Scylla standards.
  • Responsible for the professional serving and presentation of the entire F&B offer on board according to company standards.
  • Possess solid service, cost and revenue awareness.
  • Responsible character esp. regarding handling of alcohol and inventory control, maintenance of equipment.
  • Responsible for guest satisfaction and the corresponding ratings.
  • Responsible for flawless cleanliness, order and compliance with the Scylla hygienic concept according to HACCP regulations in the Restaurant and Bar area as well as regular general cleaning.
  • Responsible for dealing carefully with foodstuffs, equipment, machines and cleaning agents.
  • Storing of the bar stock and supplies, daily set up (mise-en-place).
  • Help create and implement F&B activities and events on board as well as upselling.
  • Responsible for check-in and check-out of the bar crew and service shifts crew.
  • Final responsibility for the separation of waste in the Bar/ Bistro area as well as Restaurant.
  • Presence in the Lounge/ Bar during the high volume periods and based on the schedule.
  • Active assistance in the Restaurant and Bar as well as on the sundeck, Bistro/ Lido.
  • Preparation of inventories and orders for the Bar.
Requirements:
  • Experienced within the hotel industry and/or previous (river) cruise ship experience.
  • Excellent management, organizational and decision-making skills
  • Guest focused
  • Strong leadership abilities and organizational skills.
  • Able to train crew members, able to build up the trainings and drive the change and look for operational efficiencies across the ship.
  • Able to train crew members, detect training needs and develop tailor‑made training
  • Stress resistant, calm under pressure and resilient
  • Team player with positive approach
  • Open minded and flexible
  • Strong social, interpersonal and intercultural competencies
  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Reliable and hard‑working, physical stamina to stand for a long period of time
  • Excellent English skills (written & verbal), other languages like German is an advantage.
  • Computer skills (Excel, Word, PPT)
  • Age: min. 18 years old
  • Non‑EU nationals will need D type German visa before joining
