actively recruiting for position MESS ATTENDANT
for CRYSTAL CRUISES!

Mess Attendant ensures a friendly and professional service following Crystal Basics procedures while maintaining highest cleaning and hygiene standard in all assigned areas. In addition you ensure glassware, plates, flatware, equipment and utensils are in an exceptionally clean, orderly and stocked condition.

  * cruise company, luxury segment
• Medical insurance provided during contract
• Flight paid to ship and to a home address after completed contract

• Joining expenses: reimbursed upon completion of first contract.
• STCW: reimbursed upon commencement of second contract.
• Contract length 5-6 months with following 2 months of vacation.

• Ensure absolute cleanliness and order in accordance with Public Health rules.
• Setting up and maintaining all self-service buffet areas ensuring each item is associated with the correct label. Including, if so instructed, working from behind the food lines.
• Ensure Daily Menu is placed in preparation for every meal seating
• Working area is set up and continuously replenished in accordance with direction from supervisor and pre-established standards and manuals.
• Prepare and perform F&B activities and special events as assigned.
• Cleaning of working areas, buffet lines and operating equipment in accordance with company rules and standards.
• All cleaning and fridge logs are updated daily or when applicable.
• Assist in other departments upon instruction from supervisors as required.
• Keeping and storing of any assigned inventory stock in accordance with set par levels following safety and sanitation rules and regulation.
• Actively participate in onboard training programs.
• Embarkation duty as directed, including luggage assistance, guest escorting and any other related duty.
• Participate in loading as required and on direction of supervisors.

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a luxury international hotel property as a Restaurant attendant (Cruise ship experience is preferred).
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Good interpersonal and public communication skills.
• Good organizational and multi-tasking skills are required together with an eye for details.
• Must possess the ability to interact with all levels of people while communicating in an effective, yet diplomatic fashion.
• Needs to have an outgoing personality and possess a positive attitude, maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor at all times even under pressure using their knowledge of Crystal Basics.
• Vaccination Covid-19 mandatory with WHO approved vaccines
• Minimum 21 years old
