IT Administrator (Full‑Time, Jamestown)

Responsible for managing and maintaining the organization's computer systems, networks, and related IT infrastructure. Ensure that all systems are functioning correctly, secure, and up‑to‑date.

Salary: $69,000 - $79,000

• System Maintenance and Upkeep:
  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware and software.
  • Managing servers, network equipment, and other IT infrastructure components.
  • Ensuring system integrity and stability.
• Troubleshooting and Problem Solving:
  • Identifying and resolving technical issues, both hardware and software.
  • Providing technical support to users.
• Security Management:
  • Monitoring network performance and security.
  • Implementing and maintaining security measures.
  • Managing user accounts and access rights.
• Data Backup and Recovery:
  • Performing regular backups and developing disaster recovery plans.
  • Restoring data and systems in case of failures.
• Performance Optimization:
  • Monitoring system performance and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Optimizing IT infrastructure for efficiency and productivity.
• Other Duties:
  • Providing user training on new hardware and software.
  • Staying up‑to‑date on the latest IT technologies and trends.
  • Collaborating with other IT professionals and vendors.

• Strong technical skills:
  Proficiency in various hardware, software, and networking technologies.
• Problem‑solving and analytical skills:
  Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
• Communication and interpersonal skills:
  Ability to communicate effectively with users and other IT professionals.
• Knowledge of security best practices:
  Understanding of security threats and how to protect systems.
• Experience with relevant IT certifications:
  CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft certifications, etc. beneficial.
• Education:
  
  Degree in computer science, information technology, or related field can be an asset.
