• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer
• 2+ years of commercial experience with GCP

• Design & Execute Migration Strategy: Lead the end‑to‑end data migration process, including BI integrations (e.g., AWS Quicksight → Big Query) and thorough pipeline testing.
• Refactor Legacy Pipelines: Redesign complex Spark/PySpark transformation logic into GCP‑native services (Dataproc Serverless, Dataflow, Big Query SQL).
• Migrate Data Models: Manage migration of a large‑scale data warehouse with 60+ interconnected DBT models, ensuring full logical and functional parity.
• Ensure Data Integrity: Build a comprehensive validation framework to ensure data accuracy between Databricks and Big Query.
• Infrastructure as Code: Develop and maintain GCP infrastructure using Terraform.
• Automate & Deploy: Set up automated testing and deployment pipelines via Git Lab CI/CD.
• Mentor & Support: Guide mid‑level engineers with comparative queries, DBT model testing, and documentation of validation results.
• Drive Technical Decisions: Contribute to PoC‑stage architectural decisions (lift‑and‑shift vs. full native refactoring).
