Data Engineer–Azure

Urgently looking for a for a talented and experienced Data Engineer with expertise in Azure data technologies to join our team on a contractual basis for a minimum of six months. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in designing, building, and maintaining scalable data solutions using Azure tools. This role is fully remote and requires a self-motivated professional with a problem-solving mindset and strong technical skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Pipeline Development:
  Build and maintain efficient and scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks.
• Data Modeling:
  Design and implement data models to support analytics and business intelligence initiatives.
• Programming:
  Write efficient SQL queries and use PySpark for data transformation and processing.
• Data Governance:
  Manage and secure data assets using Unity Catalog to ensure data integrity and compliance.
• Collaboration:
  
  Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver actionable data solutions.
• Optimization:
  Monitor and optimize data workflows to ensure high performance and reliability.
• Documentation:
  Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of data processes, workflows, and models.

• 7+ years of overall experience in data engineering and analytics.
• 5+ years of hands‑on expertise in Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Data Modeling, PySpark, SQL Queries, and Unity Catalog.

• Proficient in Azure cloud services and data processing tools.
• Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT processes and big data frameworks.
• Skilled in Python programming and advanced SQL.

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a remote team environment.
• Detail‑oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Familiarity with Dev Ops practices and CI/CD pipelines.
