DB / MySQL Database Administrator looking for your next contract opportunity? We are seeking a skilled Maria

DB DBA to join an exciting team on a contract basis, supporting mission-critical database environments and ensuring high performance, stability and reliability.

You’ll take ownership of day-to-day Maria

DB / MySQL administration, including:

• Installing and configuring both single and multi-instance environments
• Running upgrades and keeping systems healthy and up to date
• Fine-tuning configurations to get the best possible performance
• Setting up and maintaining replication
• Troubleshooting replication issues and any database-related problems that pop up
• Keeping a close eye on monitoring and reacting before issues become problems

This is a role for someone who genuinely enjoys working deep in the engine room.

You don’t need to tick every box, but the following experience will definitely help:

• Scripting skills - anything that helps automate your work (Bash, Python, etc.)
• Comfortable using Git Hub in your day-to-day workflow
• Some exposure to other database technologies like No
  
  SQL, NewSQL, Postgre
  
  SQL or Oracle
• A curious mindset and the ability to work independently
