Data Analytics Engineer

Our client, a Financial Services firm, is looking for a Data Analytics Engineer experienced in building and enabling analytics solutions on Google Cloud Platform
. The role focuses on designing end-to-end data pipelines, enabling analytics users, and driving organizational adoption of GCP services. This is an immediate opening to replace a 10-year experienced data scientist, with strong potential for full-time conversion.

• Architect and implement data pipelines and analytics workflows leveraging GCP services such as Data Flow
  , Data Prep
  , Data Form
  , Dataplex
  , Vertex AI
  , and Cloud Composer
  .
• Partner with business and technology teams to document requirements, identify best-fit solutions, and manage risks.
• Enable data preparation and transformation for reporting, BI, and advanced analytics use cases.
• Lead enablement sessions and “Office Hours” to train and support analysts and business users across cloud-enabled services.
• Coordinate with Google Cloud teams and vendors to troubleshoot and optimize delivery timelines.
• Champion cloud adoption and analytics literacy through communication, training, and stakeholder engagement.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in Analytics on GCP

• Strong understanding of data preparation, ETL/ELT, and analytics enablement.
• Proficiency with SQL and Python (or SAS background preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to liaise between business, data science, and technology teams.
• Excellent communication and change-management skills.
• Experience with SAS-to-GCP migration or hybrid environments.
• Familiarity with data governance and cloud security best practices.
