About the Role
We’re seeking an Engineering Operations Lead to own and evolve our internal engineering tools, infrastructure, and deployment processes. This is a hands‑on technical leadership role focused on optimizing how our engineers build, test, and ship software. You’ll design and maintain scalable CI/CD systems, automate cloud deployments, integrate security throughout the pipeline, and ensure a consistent, reliable development lifecycle.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in high-performance environments, balances strategic thinking with deep technical execution, and can build a world‑class developer experience from the ground up.
Responsibilities- Design and manage CI/CD pipelines for diverse environments—Linux, Windows, Docker, Python, ROS2, and full‑stack applications.
- Automate build, test, and deployment workflows across environments to maximize reliability and velocity.
- Integrate security automation and continuous validation throughout the development pipeline.
- Provision and manage development/test environments
, ensuring performance, consistency, and cost‑efficiency. - Version and maintain software packages and dependencies across systems.
- Automate cloud infrastructure (using COTS or custom solutions) for deployment and scalability.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot and optimize infrastructure and Dev Ops workflows.
- Establish key metrics for uptime, deployment frequency, and change lead time.
- Implement SRE best practices for monitoring, alerting, and incident management.
- Document all processes and maintain clear operational runbooks for reliability and knowledge transfer.
- Stay current on emerging Dev Ops, CI/CD, and cloud technologies.
- This role will evolve into a people management position as the team scales.
- Proven experience in Dev Ops, Site Reliability Engineering, or Engineering Operations with a strong focus on CI/CD automation.
- Deep knowledge of Dev Ops tools such as Jenkins, Git Lab CI, Terraform, Puppet, or similar.
- Hands‑on experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proficient scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Power Shell
. - Expertise with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and frameworks.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of leading cross‑functional initiatives.
- Ability to deliver results independently, at a high pace, with minimal oversight.
- Must be willing and eligible to work on applications for the U.S. Department of Defense
