POSITION GOAL: The purpose of this position is to build or assemble parts that will eventually end up in a New Flyer Metro Transit bus. These parts may include electrical, mechanical, engine and axle finished / sub-assemblies

Starting Pay Rate: $20.18 Hourly Rate:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (list in order of importance)

Adhere to all established safety practices and procedures.

Must have knowledge of assemblies within specific area.

Must be able to work on blueprints, process sheets, and/or written instructions.

Must have working knowledge of hand and air tools.

Must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds.

Must be able to bend, stoop, and reach. Must be able to stand upright and perform tasks at ergonomic worktable.

Employee is regularly exposed to vibration, and occasionally works near moving mechanical parts.

Must be present on the job to perform the assigned duties and be able to work overtime.

Able to work effectively with minimal supervision.

Meet performance targets set by the company and meet our first-time quality expectations.

Test and troubleshoot finished assemblies in all assembly areas.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment

Physical ability to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects if required
