SUMMARY

The associate strategy director will explore timeless and timely truths, be generous with ideas and accountable for creative impact. You'll lead strategic development across a diverse client roster, turning data informed insights into cohesive creative strategies that drive breakthrough work and business results. You'll create the strategic foundation for great creative work that’s impossible to ignore.

Role and Responsibilities
  • Define clear objectives and measurable KPIs focused on solving clear marketing goals
  • Lead Argo’s timeless and timely workshops and brief development processes to inform inspiring creative briefs.
  • Transform research and market complexities into compelling strategic narratives that inspire creative breakthroughs
  • Conduct research using both qualitative and quantitative approaches to uncover consumer insights
  • Translate strategic discoveries into inspiring creative briefs that give creative teams a clear creative compass
  • Steer creative ideation, collaborating with creative leads throughout the development process, ensuring strategic integrity and aiding creative exploration
  • Continuously elevate the work by maintaining strategic rigor while adapting quickly to creative pivots and client feedback
  • Present strategic recommendations with confidence and clarity to both internal teams and clients, making complex thinking accessible and compelling
  • Lead client relationships proactively, anticipating needs and positioning strategic thinking as essential to business growth
  • Champion strategic thinking across the agency, demonstrating how strategy amplifies creative and business impact
  • Author thought leadership pieces, competitive analysis and case studies that showcase our strategic capabilities and cultural understanding
Qualifications
  • 6-10 years or more of integrated strategy experience at advertising agencies, with a proven track record of developing brand platforms that drive both creative excellence and business results
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience
  • Fluency with research tools and methodologies including MRI Simmons, behavioral data analysis, and cultural trend identification
  • Portfolio showcasing strategic work that connects cultural insights to business outcomes across multiple categories and challenges
  • Understanding of how brands engage authentically across different media environments
  • Proven ability to present strategic thinking persuasively to senior-level clients and creative leadership
