We are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual for the Structural Research Team (Faculty of Chemistry, Warsaw University of Technology). Our unit focuses on modern research on crystalline phases using advanced computational and experimental techniques. The candidate will join a dynamic research team with the opportunity to conduct independent research, participate in international projects, and deliver innovative teaching opportunities to students.
Responsibilities- Teaching (lectures, tutorials, and laboratories) in Polish and English.
- Independently conducting research within the research specialization of the Structural Research Group, resulting in publications in high-ranking international journals.
- Actively seeking funding for research by submitting grant applications to national and international funding agencies.
- Providing substantive supervision and supervision of theses (engineer's and master's theses) and doctoral students (assistant supervisor).
- Active participation in the academic life of the unit (conferences, seminars, organizational work, committees).

RequirementsResearch Field Chemistry » Structural chemistry Education Level PhD or equivalent
- Very good command of Polish and English, sufficient to conduct classes; teaching or popularization experience in the natural sciences; documented skills in using modern teaching tools or forms of teaching will be an additional asset;
- A research profile related to the scientific specialization of the Structural Research Team at the Faculty of Chemistry of the WUT in the chemical sciences;
- Knowledge of theoretical and practical issues related to the study of crystalline phases; knowledge of issues related to quantum crystallography and CSP methods, documented in publications, will be an additional asset;
- Documented completion of at least one postdoctoral fellowship at a Polish or foreign scientific center;
- Experience in managing or implementing research projects as an investigator in calls announced by the National Science Centre, the National Centre for Research and Development, the European Research Council, or other national or international competitions announced by science funding institutions;
- Fluent knowledge of Polish and English (at a level sufficient to comfortably conduct teaching and communicate scientifically).
- Presentation of a plan for further research activities/research project, taking into account one's own scientific development;
- A recommendation from at least one independent researcher with whom the candidate has collaborated within the last 5 years;
- Research activity worth at least 1,000 points for published works according to the Ministry of Science and Higher Education (MNiSW) scoring system, including at least 10 scientific publications with an Impact Factor (IF) in journals indexed in international bibliographic databases. A minimum of one original scientific article published in accordance with the Ministry's list of scientific journals in the year preceding the application for the assistant professor position is required;
- Teaching experience or documented experience in science popularization;
- Documented skills in using modern teaching tools or methods (e.g., Problem-Based Learning, application development, and advanced visualizations in the learning process) are an additional asset.
