About the Role

We’re seeking an investigative journalist with strong research instincts, data fluency, and exceptional organizational discipline. You’ll investigate US companies, verify information through outreach and data analysis, and present findings as clear, factual stories supported by evidence and visuals for internal use. A key part of this role is maintaining a structured digital research system so insights remain easy to retrieve and build upon over time.

What

You’ll Do
  • Investigate companies using filings, media reports, data sources, and interviews.
  • Reach out to company contacts and experts via Linked In or email to confirm facts and gather unique insights.
  • Synthesize quantitative and qualitative information into structured, evidence-based narratives.
  • Visualize findings through simple charts or slide layouts to make stories clear and memorable.
  • Identify patterns and recurring themes across companies to support broader research narratives.
  • Maintain a well‑organized Obsidian (Markdown) research folder system, ensuring notes, sources, and cross‑references are tagged and linked for easy retrieval.
  • Deliver concise written reports, briefs, and presentations that support internal decision‑making.
  • Collaborate with analysts and editors to refine how research and visuals tell cohesive stories.
Who You Are
  • Experienced in investigative journalism, research‑based writing, or analytical storytelling.
  • Detail‑oriented, disciplined, and methodical in how you structure information.
  • Confident in outreach and fact verification using Linked In, email, and open‑source tools.
  • Strong written precision, balance, and narrative flow (doesn't have to be English).
  • Comfortable using Excel, PowerPoint, and Markdown‑based tools like Obsidian.
  • Curious, persistent, and self‑directed in remote collaboration across time zones.
