Software Engineer, Embedded Software Engineer

Project overviewWeibel Scientific A/S (Weibel) specializes in pioneering technologies that advance the monitoring of drone activities and precision radar systems used for tracking the direction and speed of moving objects. The company’s diverse portfolio spans multiple sectors, including defense, aerospace, and the protection and surveillance of critical infrastructure.
The product is a multi–microcontroller-based signal processing system, with software that ranges from embedded modules for microcontrollers and FPGAs to signal processing on connected high-end servers equipped with GPUs. These servers interface with a GUI application for configuration and monitoring. The project scope includes the development of automated tests, deployment tools, user interface components, and modules for external interfaces within the product and processing software.
The customer’s software team is organized into domains based on functional and technical areas of expertise. There are currently five domains:
- Embedded Software
- Processing Software for Instrumentation
- Processing Software for Surveillance
- Algorithm Engineering
- User Interaction Software
In addition, the structure includes a Software Solution Architect and two Software Project Managers.
Each domain team consists of 8–14 members and collaborates in cross-domain teams when delivering project solutions. Software developers at Weibel Scientific typically specialize in one of three areas:
- User Interface programming
- External Interface (API) programming
- Software Deployment packages
- Design and develop code modules as required via requirement specifications
- Deliver reviewed, verified, and tested code modules according to Weibel processes
- Cooperate with the team (Scrum, Domain, or other) to achieve the common goal
External Interface (API) programming:
- C++ (17 and higher)
