Senior Engineer Krakow

Location: Town of Poland

We are looking for a Senior Engineer to join our Engineering team in Poland. The role focuses on developing the back end of a new platform system that will host millions of players, especially building the customer segmentation system.

Tech Stack

Docker containerized apps on AWS EKS Kubernetes. Kotlin runs on the JVM on the backend;
Type Script and React on the frontend;
Dynamo

DB houses operational data and Snowflake serves as the data warehouse.

Role Requirements

• Proficiency in Java or Kotlin for backend development.

• Experience with cloud technologies, especially AWS and Kubernetes for infrastructure automation.

• Knowledge of SQL and No

SQL databases, ideally Dynamo

DB.

• Understanding of Apache Kafka.

• Ability to design and optimize systems for scalability and performance.

• Leadership of technical project delivery.

• Excellent communication and collaborative skills.

Role Responsibilities

• Deliver product features, collaborating with Engineers and Product to improve value delivery; continually review and refine processes.

• Ensure platform stability, performance, and resilience under heavy load.

• Oversee design and scaling of high‑throughput backend systems.

• Guide technical decisions, review solutions, and maintain best practices for cross‑location teams.

• Stay hands‑on and current with AWS, Kubernetes, Java.

• Grow and coach the team, fostering strong practices around cloud, microservices, and distributed systems.

• Managing a Platform or Dev Ops team is a plus.
