Full Stack Developer (Java, Restful APIs, React)

The Onboarding and Know Your Customer (OBKYC) Enabler Value Stream has been established to deliver common, group-wide onboarding and KYC capabilities and services. It brings together business, operations and technology colleagues to co-design and build solutions to deliver better products and services for our customers.

This value stream is intended to deliver towards our Future State Architecture (FSA) and the Digital Acceleration Programme – enabling a consistent approach to how we deliver change across the bank to facilitate improving the experience of our customers, the resilience of our infrastructure, and allow us to embrace innovative technologies.

Our global businesses, operations and technology teams work closely together to help design and build digital services that allow our millions of customers around the world to bank quickly, simply, and securely.

OBKYC scope incorporates onboarding products, platforms, and a delivery capability particularly suited to client‑aligned agile delivery  products provide our CIB and Private Banking client base with onboarding capabilities to enable a best‑in‑class staff and client experience. Solutions are tailored to suit the client’s needs, from Treasury departments of large multi‑nationals to sole traders.

• Develop and design a strategic platform for the wholesale banking client services division.
• Hands‑on expert who can code, architect/design the system and understand highly available and scalable microservices.
• Build solutions with an engineering mindset, achieving functional and non‑functional requirements with consistent performance to help our business grow.
• Develop and manage professionalism, foster collaboration, adopt best practices, and ensure on‑time and top‑quality deliveries.
• Collaborate with a global team where coordination activities cross regional boundaries.
• Proactively remove impediments, identify risk, and communicate issues to program management.
• Identify process inefficiencies and find innovative and programmatic ways to eliminate them.

• Strong Java knowledge
• Strong/Good React JS knowledge
• Must be able to debug existing code, extend functionality and/or fix issues if any.
• Understanding of microservice architecture and ability to write REST APIs.
• Can write sensible tests to verify functionalities and endpoints.
• Prior hands‑on experience with CI‑CD tooling.
• Participate in platform improvement initiatives such as performance and production stability improvements.
• Self‑motivated, enthusiastic, and proven rapid learning capability.
• Experience working in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
• Excellent problem‑solving, interpersonal, presentation and analytical skills.
• Good knowledge of database schema design; knowledge of Postgre
  
  SQL is a plus.
• Aware of working in a Dev Ops Pod and expected to perform production support on a rotation basis.
