Desarrollador Senior Backend

Our client is looking for a Senior Backend Developer to join their dynamic and innovative team. The company is a recognized leader in the automotive technology rental sector, having achieved significant market growth and technological advancements in recent years. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and refining their core platform, directly impacting their revenue and user experience.

• Design, develop, and implement new features and functionalities for the platform.
• Maintain and enhance the existing codebase to ensure high performance and reliability.
• Uphold stringent standards for code quality, functionality, and scalability.
• Collaborate with fellow engineers to refine application architecture and shared components.
• Design and build effective solutions from limited specifications with a high degree of autonomy.
• Write and maintain comprehensive tests to ensure high code coverage.
• Actively participate in improving continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) processes.

This is a hybrid position based in Medellín, Colombia
, requiring 3 days per week in the office and 2 days working remotely.

Candidates must be located in Medellín, Colombia.

• 5+ years of professional backend development experience with PHP frameworks, preferably Yii2, Laravel, and/or Symfony.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience building SaaS web applications and REST APIs using SOLID principles.
• At least 3 years of experience writing tests with Pest, Php Unit, or Codeception, achieving high code coverage.
• Proven professional experience in refactoring code by applying SOLID principles.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, CI/CD pipelines, and Github Actions.
• Working knowledge of monorepos and micro-frontends.
• Demonstrated ability to select appropriate methods and techniques to obtain effective solutions.
• Capability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and programming languages.
