Join Scandit's Shelf View team and help create digital twins of retail shelves! As a Machine Learning Engineer, you'll evolve our product by adding new features and optimizing existing ones. You'll work on computer vision and deep learning algorithms to improve shelf recognition.
What you will do:- Drive and solve fine-grained product recognition on retail shelves.
- Be involved in all phases of end-to-end quality improvements (defining and tracking metrics, prototyping, testing, integration of existing models, creation of new models, data collection, analysis, debugging).
- Stay up to date with the latest research in detection, segmentation, and long-tailed object recognition.
- Set direction and identify opportunities to push boundaries of.
- Mentor team members on code quality and engineering practices.
You are an experienced ML engineer passionate about building and improving machine learning-powered systems. You have a proven track record of delivering state-of-the-art computer vision systems with cloud components, from prototyping to production.
- 7+ years of experience solving recognition problems with launched products.
- Fluency in Python and another language (e.g. C/C++, Go, or Rust).
- Experience with machine learning frameworks (Pytorch, Jax, Tensorflow).
- Experience with cloud-based development (databases, service-oriented architecture, data pipelines).
- Skilled in software design, problem-solving, and debugging.
- Experience in building visual search systems or retrieval-augmented LLM systems is a plus.
