Maintenance Manager

Hood Container is searching for a dynamic and results-driven Maintenance Manager to join our team in Greensboro, NC, and lead our Corrugator Converting Plant's maintenance operations.

The Maintenance Manager plays a critical role in optimizing performance, driving efficiency, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. You’ll provide strategic leadership to our maintenance programs, ensuring our equipment operates at peak performance, minimizing downtime by implementing lean manufacturing principles & maintenance best practices.

• 5+ years of dedicated maintenance management experience within a manufacturing environment. This includes hands-on experience with:
• Budget management
• Efficient scheduling & work order management
• Strategic project planning
• Effective team development
• Demonstrated expertise in both industrial mechanical and electrical systems.

• A bachelor’s degree in engineering, facilities management, or a related field.
• Previous experience in the corrugated or packaging industry.
• Proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Certification in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma.

• Strategic Leadership:
  Develop and execute maintenance strategies that seamlessly integrate with our production goals, guaranteeing minimal equipment downtime and optimal output.
• Team Empowerment:
  Supervise, mentor, and inspire our skilled maintenance technicians. You'll provide the training and support they need to continuously grow their skills and excel in their roles.
• Proactive Optimization:
  Conduct regular, thorough inspections and assessments of our facility equipment, proactively identifying areas for improvement and necessary repairs before they become critical issues.
• Budget Management:
  Masterfully manage the maintenance budget, ensuring every resource is utilized cost-effectively while upholding the highest standards of quality and safety.
• Collaborative Impact:
  Partner closely with other departments to strategically schedule maintenance activities, minimizing any disruption to our vital production operations.
