AI Web Developer

The AI / Web Developer is responsible for designing, developing, integrating, and supporting secure AI-powered and web-based applications for Furniture land South. This role uses Python, large language models, APIs, enterprise data, and modern web technologies to improve business processes, employee productivity, customer experience, and access to information.

• Develop and support AI applications, web applications, APIs, integrations, and automation solutions.
• Build solutions using large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, vector search, tool and function calling, and agentic workflows.
• Integrate applications with enterprise systems, databases, and approved third-party services.

• Apply secure development practices for authentication, access control, data privacy, prompt-injection protection, testing, and deployment.
• Follow established practices for source control, documentation, monitoring, and application support.

• Partner with business stakeholders and IT team members to translate requirements into reliable, maintainable solutions.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and transition successful prototypes into production applications.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.

• Experience developing production applications using Python.
• Experience with API integration, Git version control, PostgreSQL, and SQL.
• Experience developing applications using OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, or an equivalent large language model platform.
• Experience with LLM application development, tool and function calling, agentic workflows, vector databases, embeddings, and retrieval-augmented generation.

• Experience with Next.js, React, and Type Script.
• Experience with AWS or Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Entra , Microsoft Graph, and Docker.
• Knowledge of AI security, data privacy, and secure handling of sensitive information.
• Experience with model fine-tuning, CI/CD, automated testing, or production AI application support.
