ND COUNTS Facilitator

Jamestown Public Schools is seeking an ND COUNTS Facilitator to coordinate, facilitate, and support professional development for teachers in grades 4-8. This is a 24-day, grant-funded assignment designed to support implementation of the Science of Mathematics and strengthen mathematics instruction across the district.

Responsibilities:

• Review ND COUNTS content and prepare instructional resources, presentations, and participant activities.
• Facilitate four separate three-day professional development sessions for grades 4-8 teachers.
• Support teachers in strengthening mathematics content knowledge and effective instructional practices.
• Facilitate collaboration and planning for classroom implementation.
• Provide follow-up coaching and support through professional learning communities.
• Assist teachers with reviewing student work, addressing implementation challenges, refining instructional plans, and identifying next steps.

Qualifications:

• Valid North Dakota teaching license.
• Strong knowledge of mathematics instruction and effective instructional practices.
• Experience teaching mathematics, preferably at the upper elementary or middle school level.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and facilitation skills.
• Ability to support and coach colleagues in a professional learning environment.
