ResponsibilitiesAs an Advanced Clinical Specialist (ACS) you will provide rehabilitative services to adult inpatient clients. This position provides group and individual therapy to individuals throughout the North Dakota State Hospital, including psychiatric inpatient and sex offender programming. The Advanced Clinical Specialist also assists in the creation of individual treatment plans, utilizes evidence-based practices, makes treatment and group recommendations, and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams.
QualificationsTo be considered for this position, you must have a master's degree in social work, counseling, or any other master's degree approved by the North Dakota Board of Counseling Examiners, and licensure as a LICSW (Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker) or LPCC (Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor); OR a Doctorate in Psychology and licensure as a Psychologist by the ND Board of Psychologist Examiners.
We will consider filling this position as a Human Relations Counselor at a reduced rate. Human Relations Counselors must have master's degrees in counseling and LAPC licensure, as well as be within two years of LPCC licensure. Details regarding licensure status and the number of training hours already obtained must be submitted with the application.

The North Dakota State Hospital (NDSH), located in Jamestown, is a specialized psychiatric hospital that serves the whole state. Services focus on psychiatric rehabilitation, residential substance use disorders treatment, and residential treatment for sexually dangerous individuals.
