• Entry level Machinists position with no experience.
• Works under direct supervision of assigned mentor.
• Perform setups and machine parts with direct supervision.
• Perform inspection of work produced with direct supervision.
• Works with co-workers to safely and efficiently maintain operations and production.
• Engage in Continuous Improvement activities.
• Enrollment in the Precision Machining Technology associate degree program at North Dakota State College of Science (NDSCS), Wahpeton, ND.
• Candidate will split time between Collins Aerospace in Jamestown and NDSCS in Wahpeton, ND. The expectation is that the candidate works at Collins Aerospace during fall/spring breaks, winter holidays, and summers while pursuing the degree.

• Must adhere to all EH & S regulations and policies and attend related training courses.
• Follow the EH & S roles and responsibilities in accordance with the Cargo Policy MP5322.
• Develop ability to interpret drawings, sketches and blueprints, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
• Set up and operate machine shop equipment, e.g., mills, lathes, drill presses, to cut material and drill holes according to specifications.
• Inspect and measure completed projects with micrometers, calipers, Vernier’s, etc., to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Use Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).

• Develops basic job skills.
• Learns company policies & procedures to complete routine tasks.
• Teamwork.

• HS Diploma. If no HS diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant experience is required.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position.
• Enrollment in the Precision Machining Technology associate degree program at NDSCS, Wahpeton, ND.
