Lead Public Health

WHO ARE WE:  Tata Steel Foundation is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Steel Limited and was instituted on August 16, 2016. Reporting Relationship:  Lead, Public Health ---> Head, Public Health

Purpose of the Role:  To support strategic public health planning, coordinate programme implementation, monitoring & evaluation and impact assessment, strengthen public health systems in partnership with State Govt, build team capabilities, and ensure efficient, evidence-based delivery of quality preventive and promotive public health programs and interventions.

Key Deliverables:
Support Head, Public Health in formulating strategies and interventions of high professional quality & guiding teams on various public health projects/initiatives.
Support Head, Public Health in planning, reviewing, monitoring, and evaluating the impact of various programs/ initiatives through respective project leaders.
Serve as member of the core Public Health Think Tank for TSF with the view to plan/implement/test/standardize high quality community-based public health programs/models and scale such programs/models to State/National level.
Undertake regular & appropriate professional and managerial training/up-skilling of public health team of TSF.
Liaise with appropriate academic/public health institutions and build synergy through partnership with National Centres of Excellence in various public health fields.
Undertake high quality and evidence-based public health research with the aim to directly benefit communities.
Any other professional/organizational task as tasked by Head, Public Health.

Minimum Qualification:

MD (Community Medicine) from NMC-recognized Medical College in India of good repute and national standing, with field experience.
(Additional professional qualifications such as DNB, PG Diploma, PhD etc and field/work experience related to Public Health/Public Health Administration shall be given due weightage. Candidates who have led public health teams in field shall be preferred.)

Work experience in years:  7 - 15 Years

Technical Skill Sets:
All skills as required for postgraduates in Community Medicine (MD) as per NMC standards.
Should have good knowledge of epidemiology and biostatistics, communicable diseases, maternal and child health and all public health domains.
Public Health Management, Financial Management in relation to public health projects
Project Planning, Management, Monitoring and Evaluation
Should be able to lead and guide her/his team based on scientific public health principles & stay abreast with latest developments in the field of public health.
Good drafting skills in relation to public health proposals
Good Communication skills;
Fluently Read-Speak-Write at least English and Hindi Knowledge of additional language is desirable.

Behavioral Skill Sets:
Self-motivated, Result oriented. Aligned to the Tata code of Conduct (TCoC)
Energetic individuals with proven leadership skills and scientific approach to public health activities/research shall be strongly preferred.
