SHINE Technologies is seeking a Configuration Control Engineering Manager who will direct and manage the different programs and support teams within engineering. The role is responsible for hiring engineering program owners for areas such as material control and accounting (MC&A) for special nuclear material, nuclear cyber security, configuration control, fire protection, and the Engineering-Procurement-Construction (EPC) coordinator. The team owns tools such as the master equipment list, cable and raceway database, and hold database, and is responsible for developing new tools as needed.
This role is expected to continue through the operational phase of the facility.
Compensation
: $123,000 – $165,000 per year plus a comprehensive compensation package. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
- Select, develop, evaluate, and lead engineers/program managers who support the design of a first‑of‑a‑kind nuclear facility.
- Retain responsibility for the configuration management program.
- Work with quality, procurement, operations, and maintenance to develop databases that support efficient processes.
- Balance the needs of the engineering support department with company goals to produce results aligned with overall objectives.
- Develop and maintain the group budget, including staff and equipment purchasing.
- Develop and update the group schedule, maintaining a detailed high‑integrity plan to predict milestones and resource loading.
- Monitor for early warning signs related to schedule slips and shift resources to keep projects on schedule.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field.
- Preferred: five or more years of management experience.
- Experience managing a configuration and change management program in a highly regulated environment.
- Ability to motivate and inspire staff, manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and make decisive decisions.
- Outstanding communication, conflict management, and change management skills.
Eligibility for employment is conditioned on the applicant’s ability to qualify for access to information subject to U.S. Export Controls.
