Job Description

About your new company:

For the past 55+ years, family owned and operated, Prent Corporation has been the world leader in custom thermoformed packaging serving the Medical, Electronic and Consumer industries. A global leader with strong technology-based employees who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment while recognizing their opportunity to make a difference and continued career growth.

About your new role:

The Enterprise Architect & Data Strategy Lead is responsible for ensuring Prent’s core systems — including ERP, HRIS, Training, and Quality platforms — operate as an integrated, data-driven ecosystem. This role develops the architecture, governance, and data structures that prepare Prent for next-generation tools such as AI, advanced analytics, and automation. Acting as both strategist and technical advisor, this position connects business processes with data infrastructure to ensure Prent’s technology foundation supports insight, efficiency, and innovation across global operations.

Key Responsibilities Enterprise Systems Architecture
  • Evaluate and align enterprise systems (ERP, HRIS, Quality, and Training) into a unified architecture with clear ownership and integration paths.
  • Design and maintain a system roadmap that supports scalability, modernization, and data accessibility.
  • Maintain implementation best practices and standards for requirements gathering, testing, training, validation, and deploying of software and enhancements.
  • Identify redundancies, gaps, and opportunities for automation or consolidation across applications.
  • Partner with business and IT leaders to define data and system standards that support real-time visibility and decision-making.
  • Ensure system designs are secure, compliant, and ready for AI and advanced analytics initiatives.
Data Governance & AI Readiness
  • Develop and lead Prent’s enterprise data strategy — establishing how data is captured, structured, and shared across departments.
  • Build frameworks for data quality, governance, and standardization to ensure trusted information across systems.
  • Oversee integration and data flow between platforms, enabling centralized analytics and reporting.
  • Partner with business analysts and functional leaders to identify use cases where AI or predictive analytics can deliver value.
  • Create data models and architecture standards that support machine learning, automation, and business intelligence tools.
  • Champion ethical, compliant use of data and AI in alignment with corporate governance standards.
Collaboration & Leadership
  • Work cross-functionally with leaders in Operations, Quality, HR, and Training to ensure technology investments align with business outcomes.
  • Mentor IT and business teams in data literacy, system integration, and AI readiness.
  • Communicate complex technical strategies in clear, business-focused terms to executives and stakeholders.
  • Lead the evaluation and implementation of new tools and integrations that support digital transformation.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and empowerment within the IT organization.
What you need:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive IT experience with strong background in enterprise systems and data architecture.
  • Experience integrating ERP, HRIS, Quality, or Training systems — ideally in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven success leading data strategy or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure), data lakes, and modern data pipelines.
  • Familiarity with AI, machine learning, and BI tools (Power BI, Copilot, etc.).
  • Strong communication skills — able to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Ability to work independently, handle multiple priorities, and solve complex system and data challenges.
  • A mindset centered on quality, security, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to collaborate across diverse teams, influence outcomes, and mentor others on data literacy and system thinking.
  • Calm under pressure, practical, and focused on helping teams succeed.
